This 20-second promotional spot was the first glimpse of the fifth live-action Star Trek TV series, which during its first two seasons was titled simply Enterprise. The promo aired during the series finale of Star Trek: Voyager on May 23rd, 2001. It contains no actual footage from the series.
Some fans were critical of the fact that Captain Benjamin Sisko from Star Trek: Deep Space Nine was not mentioned in the spot. UPN later released a revised spot that did mention Sisko. Enterprise premiered on September 26th, 2001 and remained on the air until May 2005.
