More "foreign" films fill out the week's schedule- "Rose Of Tralee" was a 1937 Irish musical released in the U.S. in 1938, featuring a cast you probably never heard of [as did most people watching on W2XBS]- Binkie Stuart, Kathleen O'Regan, Fred Conyngham and Dorothy Dare.

Tito Guizar, popular Mexican singer/guitarist, headlined several films south of the border (and as a supporting player in several American musicals as well), including the 1936 musical western, "Alla En El Rancho Grande" [the film's full title], which capitalized on his successful recording of the song. One of Kermit Schaefer's "Bloopers" recreated an announcer's faux pas when he said during a radio broadcast, "Presenting Tito GUITAR...and his GUIZAR".

"The Revuers", the nightclub act whose members included Judy Holiday, Betty Comden, Adolph Green, Al Hammer and John Frank, made another appearance on Channel 1 on Sunday, appearing with Desi Arnaz [and this probably WAS his first TV appearance, anywhere] and Diosa Costello; he sang, of course, and did a dance routine with her {"She could really shake her ass", he later recalled fondly}.
