Follow the Sun Closing Credits

Loading the player…

Here are the closing credits from the January 14th, 1962 episode of NBC’s ABC’s Follow the Sun, which was titled “The Last of the Big Spenders.” The video is a little jittery. The drama starred Brett Halsey and Barry Coe as magazine writers living in Hawaii. Gary Lockwood co-starred as their research assistant with Gigi Perreau as their secretary. The series ran for 30 episodes during the 1961-1962 season.

  1. “FOLLOW THE SUN” was on ABC, not NBC {they featured “WALT DISNEY’S WONDERFUL WORLD OF COLOR”, in its first season, on Sundays at 7:30pm(et)- one reason why “FOLLOW THE SUN” was cancelled after its only season}. Nice theme [by Sonny Burke]. Lee Tracy returned as “Gentleman Johnny” in the final episode of the series {“Chalk One Up For Johnny”/April 8, 1962} in an effort to spin-off his character into his own series- ABC passed on the idea.

  2. “FOLLOW THE SUN” starred Barry Coe and Garry Lockwood. One episode I really remember was one of William Bendix last TV appearances before his passing, it was titled ‘Sgt. Kolcheck Fades Away”.

  3. This is one of those shows that I with they would either show on TV or release on DVD-at a cheap price, for it looks to be very good!
