Every Tuesday I take a look at obscure and/or classic television programs, specials, miniseries or made-for-TV movies being released on DVD. For the record I consider anything broadcast prior to 1980 to be classic or else there wouldn’t be much to discuss. The releases referred to in these posts are encoded for Region 1 use in the United States and Canada.
It’s the last Tuesday of 2010 and there aren’t very many releases out today. Warner Home Video is re-issuing “A Charlie Brown Valentine,” a 2000 Peanuts special first released on DVD and VHS in 2004. And Alpha Video has several new single-disc releases available today: Meet Corliss Archer, Volume 5, Public Defender, Volume 7, Classic TV Comedies of the 50s (Featuring “The Great Gildersleeve”) and Pinky Lee’s Circus with Winky Dink and You (Bonus: Vintage Cartoons).
Take a rest, ‘RGJ’. Come back when you’re completely “refreshed”- we’ll still be here. And may your new year be a happier one!
