LA Times Magazine Covers Opening Credits

The LA Times Magazine has published a collection featuring videos of 52 opening credit sequences from television programs on the air between 1959 and 1969 (two more lists covering 1970-1989 and 1990-2011 are forthcoming). Edited by Cary Georges, “50+ Main Titles” includes popular and famous programs like Star Trek, Batman, Mission: Impossible, The Dick Van Dyke Show, Bewitched and Bonanza. There are no real obscurities included, although Mr. Lucky makes an appearance. You can vote for your favorite; at the moment, The Lone Ranger is way ahead with 37.86% of the vote. Mr. Lucky is dead last with 0.05% of the vote, tied with Dennis the Menace and Voyage to the Bottom of the Sea.

A similar list for movie titles was published in February of 2009.
