Every Tuesday I take a look at obscure and/or classic television programs, specials, miniseries or made-for-TV movies being released on DVD or Blu-ray. The releases referred to in these posts are encoded for Region 1 use in the United States and Canada.
Earlier this year, Shout! Factory released Fantasy Island – The Complete Second Season, almost seven years after Sony Pictures Home Entertainment released the first season. Today, for some reason, Sony is also releasing Fantasy Island – The Complete Second Season via its manufacture-on-demand (MOD) program. Recall that MOD sets mean DVD-R discs. Given that both sets appear to have identical content, why would anyone purchase a MOD set when a traditional set is also available?
For some reason COZI tv has a smaller screen than other channels showing reruns of great tv shows. Do you have this problem too?
