Every Tuesday I take a look at obscure and/or classic television programs, specials, miniseries or made-for-TV movies being released on DVD or Blu-ray. For the record I consider anything broadcast prior to 1980 to be classic or else there wouldn’t be much to discuss. The releases referred to in these posts are encoded for Region 1 use in the United States and Canada.
Out today from Inception Media is Christmas with Danny Kaye a single-disc release that includes two Christmas-themed episodes of The Danny Kaye Show, originally broadcast on December 25th, 1963 and December 21st, 1966 as well as bonus footage from the December 22nd, 1965 episode. Another single-disc release out today, from S’More Entertainment, is The David Susskind Show – Television’s First Star: An Interview with Milton Berle, which is a single 1974 episode of Susskind’s interview series in which he sits down with Milton Berle to discuss the star’s life and legacy.
