New Article: My Life and Times

As 2013 draws to a close, it seems somehow fitting to be publishing my latest article about ABC’s short-lived 1991 drama series My Life and Times, which was all about reflection and taking stock of life. Here’s the description:

Tom Irwin starred in this unique yet short-lived half-hour drama series as an elderly man in the year 2035 looking back on his life. Created by Ron Koslow, it debuted in April 1991 on ABC as the first weekly series from ABC Productions, the network’s in-house production unit. That didn’t stop ABC from pulling the series due to low ratings after just two episodes had aired. Four additional episodes were burned off, leaving one unaired.

Most critics loved the series but there were a few who felt it was too sappy and sentimental. Read the article and decide for yourself.
