Cimarron City Coming to getTV

Another western TV series is coming to diginet getTV. NBC’s Cimarron City, which ran for 26 episodes on NBC during the 1958-1959 season, will join getTV’s “Saturday Showdown” western block beginning February 20th. George Montgomery, John Smith, and Audrey Totter starred. The cast also included a pre-Bonanza Dan Blocker. Cimarron City was released on DVD in March 2012 by Timeless Media Group.

getTV is also adding a new Wednesday western block starting tonight. Each Wednesday, the network will air a block of episodes from a single western. The Tall Men will kick things off tonight at 8PM ET with ten episodes. Nichols will be featured on February 10th; A Man Called Shenandoah on February 17th; and Hondo on February 24th.

You can check the getTV website to see if you have the network in your area. It is currently available in more than 70% of the country.

  1. Charlton Heston was originally offered the lead in “CIMARRON CITY”, but decided against starring in a TV series, preferring to remain a “movie star” instead.
