January 2017 was a slow month. A pair of one season wonders were re-released on DVD: Brooklyn South (CBS, 1997-1998) and Top Cat (ABC, 1961-1962). Also, Netflix started streaming The CW’s No Tomorrow.

Brooklyn South: The Complete Series (TV Series, CBS, DVD)
This one season wonder from Steven Bocho aired on CBS for 22 episodes during the 1997-1998 season. A&E Home Video released it on DVD back in 2003 and now CBS Home Entertainment is re-releasing the series. The original set included commentary on the pilot episode from David Milch as well as an interview with Steven Bocho. It’s unclear whether those special features are also in the new set. NOTE: This is a manufactured on demand release.
Top Cat: The Complete Series (TV Series, Warner Achive, DVD)
Warner Archive re-released Top Cat last month. The animated series ran on ABC during the 1961-1962 season. Warner Home Video originally released the series on DVD in 2004. The contents of the re-release are identical to the original: all 30 episodes, commentaries on several episodes, a featurette, interviews, production sketches, storyboards, commercials, and more. NOTE: This is a manufactured on demand release.

Streaming
Netflix added The CW’s No Tomorrow last month. The quirky drama starring Joshua Sasse and Tori Anderson just wrapped up its first season and likely won’t be renewed for Season 2.
Warner Archive’s updated website now lists its streaming TV offerings alphabetically, which is nice. It’s still hard to tell what’s new but I believe last month The Gallant Men (ABC, 1962-1963) returned. Made-for-TV movies have been moved from the TV category to the Movies category, which means Earth II and the Man from Atlantis pilot telefilms are now mixed in with feature films. That makes it too complicated for me to keep track of anymore.
