Here’s the schedule for WNBT (NBC’s flagship TV station in New York City) for the week starting Sunday, September 21st, 1947. The New York Times published daily listings for television stations in the city, including WNBT, alongside its comprehensive radio listings.
WNBT’s broadcast week kicked off Sunday (September 21st) afternoon with a baseball game between the New York Giants and the Philadelphia Phillies. That evening, Author Meets the Critics moved to the 8PM time slot. NBC Television Theatre followed at 8:30PM with another unidentified variety show at 9PM.
More trotting races aired on Monday (September 22nd), this time from Roosevelt Raceway. No programs were scheduled for Tuesday (September 23rd).
The regular lineup of Kraft Television Theatre and In the Kelvinator Kitchen aired Wednesday (September 24th).
On Thursday (September 25th), Friend of the Family took over the 8:30-9PM ET time slot previously filled by Author Meets the Critics. I still don’t have any information about this irregularly scheduled series.
WNBT aired an Army-Villanova football game on Saturday (September 27th) afternoon.
