  1. It’s been decades since I’ve seen Kung Fu in reruns, but I glanced at the name and began remembering the theme music. That show was a really big deal when I was in high school during the early 1970s.

There used to be a lot of shows that were a really big deal in my life. Now I watch Antiques Roadshow, an occasional American Experience, plus old shows on YouTube and DVDs. I guess my brain can only stay interested in a limited number of TV shows, and I’ve pretty much reached my interest quota!

  2. Here is what the schedule looked like…
NEW DICK VAN DYKE Sunday at 9pm. Opposite of ABC
Movie and NBC MYSTERY MOVIE COLUMBO

STREETS OF SAN FRANCISO Saturday at 9pm. Opposite
NBC Movie and CBS MARY TYLER MOORE and BOB
NEWHART. This was its first season and a move in the winter to Thursday would eventually turn it into a hit show.

THE MEN (JIGSAW) Thursday at 9pm. Opposite of
    CBS Movie and NBC IRONSIDE

NEW BILL COSBY SHOW (a variety series) Monday at 10pmOpposite of NBC Movie and ABC MONDAY NIGHT

NBC REPORTS Tuesday at 10pm. Opposite of ABC
    MARCUS WELBY and CBS Movie.

ANNA & THE KING Sunday at 7:30pm. Opposite NBC
WONDERFUL WORLD OF DISNEY. ABC did not
schedule a show for that time slot.

KUNG FU Saturday at 8pm. Opposite of NBC EMERGENCY
and CBS ALL IN THE FAMILY and BRIDGET LOVES
BERNIE. Only this episode “King of the Mountain”
would air on Saturday, The series returned in February
and moved with STREETS OF SAN FRANCISCO to
Thursday where both would become hits.

JULIE ANDREWS Wednesday at 10pm. Opposite of CBS
    CANNON and NBC SEARCH.

BANYON Friday at 10pm. Opposite of ABC LOVE
    AMERICAN STYLE and CBS Movie
