On Wednesday (November 5th), Kraft Television Theatre and In the Kelvinator Kitchen aired as usual. WNBT then broadcast coverage of a Forbes Magazine dinner at the Waldorf-Astoria hotel, with New York governor Thomas Dewey in attendance.

Meet the Press premiered on Thursday (November 6th). The series is still on the air today. The first guest was politician James A. Farley. Later that evening, WNBT broadcast a look behind the scenes of a TV station (presumably WNBT itself). the first episode of Eye Witness, a short-lived documentary series about the television industry.

    1. I’m sort of confused. Is Eye Witness the show being described as Behind the Scenes in a Television Station or is it not included in the NYT listings?
