WNBT Schedule, Week of November 16th, 1947

Here’s the schedule for WNBT (NBC’s flagship TV station in New York City) for the week starting Sunday, November 16th, 1947. The New York Times published daily listings for television stations in the city, including WNBT, alongside its comprehensive radio listings.

WNBT kicked off its broadcast week on Sunday (November 16th) with Author Meets the Critic at 8PM ET. Then came music, a fashion show, news, and a film short.

On Monday (November 17th), WNBT and the other TV stations in New York City carried coverage of President Truman’s address to a joint session of Congress. He discussed foreign aid. That evening, WNBT aired the 1939 film Fisherman’s Wharf, starring Bobby Breen.

WNBT was off the air on Tuesday (November 18th).

The Wednesday (November 19th) lineup consisted of Kraft Television Theatre, In the Kelvinator Kitchen, and Current Opinion.

On Saturday (November 22nd), the station aired an afternoon football gaming pitting Princeton against Dartmouth.
