Update on Mothers-in-Law on DVD

When word broke that The Mothers-in-Law was coming out on DVD in late 2009, a lot of people were thrilled. The complete series (56 episodes) release from MPI Home Video was later pushed back to “second quarter” of 2010, according to TVShowsOnDVD.com. Earlier this month Kaye Ballard posted the following at her website:

It looks like the long wait is coming to an end. Word is that THE MOTHERS-IN-LAW DVD set will be released on Mother’s Day of this year! Check back soon for more details.

TVShowsOnDVD.com suggests that the set will actually be out on April 28th or May 5th, rather than Mother’s Day proper on May 9th (recall that DVDs always come out on Tuesdays). We will have to sit tight until more news becomes available. But things are looking good for the entire series to be out on DVD later this year.

  1. I hope they don’t cut the episode or change the music where the Seeds sing “Pushin’ Too Hard.”
    What a classic!

  2. So far as I know, all 56 episodes are going to be featured on the DVD box set intact, Paul, including the one guest-starring The Seeds. Current “street date” for release of the DVD is supposed to be July 27th.
