The Mothers-in-Law DVD Release Delayed (Again)

The long saga of The Mothers-in-Law on DVD has just gotten a little longer. First announced more than a year ago in February of 2009, with a late 2009 release date, the complete series collection from MPI Home Video — featuring all 56 episodes — was later pushed back to 2010 and reportedly was going to come out around Mother’s Day in early May. TVShowsOnDVD.com now reports that the set will not come out in May. However, it looks like it will still be coming out sometime this year. Just not in the next few months.

Hopefully, these delays mean better quality transfers and more extras. Only time will tell.

  1. Sounds to me like last-minute squabbling between Desi Arnaz’s estate and the distributor is the cause behind the delay….

  2. again…..DESI ARNAZ got flack from Elmer Bernstein.s estate after WILBUR HATCH pilfered the MOTHERS IN LAW THEME from Thoroughly Modern Millie;—-see the famous orthodox wedding scene with Julie Andrews hamming it up with Mickey Katz(Joel Grey;s daddy) on clarinet..pk
