Half of the Bottom 10 were repeats this week. Three of the four ABC programs in the Bottom 10 were repeats. Only Buck James was new.
NBC had the lowest-rated program this week with an Andy Williams specials aired on Sunday, April 3rd from 7-8PM. The only other NBC program in the Bottom 10 was a repeat of Family Ties that followed the Andy Williams special at 8PM. It ranked 64th for the week.
Once again, CBS saw much of its Tuesday lineup at the bottom of the ratings chart. Trial and Error, My Sister Sam, and a repeat of Frank’s Place were all in the Bottom 10. CBS cancelled Trial and Error after this episode (its third). Coming of Age tied for 56th; Cagney & Lacey ranked 48th.
CBS also placed 48 Hours in the Bottom 10. It ranked 71st for the week.
Also of note: “Vidal’s Lincoln, Part II ” (NBC, Monday, March 28th) ranked 23rd for the week; the premiere of The Smothers Brothers Comedy Hour (CBS, Wednesday, March 30th) ranked 52nd; The Bronx Zoo (NBC, Thursday, March 31st) tied for 53rd; Probe (ABC, Thursday, March 31st) ranked 62nd; Family Man (ABC, Friday, April 1st) ranked 61st; West 57th (CBS, Saturday, April 2nd) ranked 58th; and a repeat of Superman II (ABC, Sunday, April 3rd) tied for 41st.
