Here’s the schedule for WNBT (NBC’s flagship TV station in New York City) for the week starting Sunday, May 25th, 1947. The New York Times published daily listings for television stations in the city, including WNBT, alongside its comprehensive radio listings.
Baseball returned with a vengeance this week, with four games scheduled. The previous week, WNBT had zero baseball games scheduled. At Home with Tex and Jinx kicked off the station’s evening lineup on Sunday (May 25th). A play called “Welcome Jeremiah” followed at 8:30PM.
The regular boxing bout on Monday (May 26th) did not air. In its place, WNBT broadcast a film called Let’s Sing Again. This may have been the 1936 film with Bobby Breen.
The first baseball game of the week was scheduled for Tuesday (May 27th). It pitted the New York Giants against the Brooklyn Dodgers.
A second Giants-Dodgers game was scheduled for Wednesday (May 28th) afternoon. That evening, WNBT aired Kraft Television Theatre and In the Kelvinator Kitchen.
WNBT signed on early on Thursday (May 29th) to air the finals of the National Spelling Bee. The second episode of The Wife Saver aired that evening.
The Friday (May 30th) afternoon scheduled included Swift Service Club and another baseball game between the Giants and the Philadelphia Phillies. A special Memorial Day program aired Friday evening, in place of the regular boxing match.
The fourth and final baseball game was scheduled for Saturday (May 31st). It saw the Giants take on the Pittsburgh Pirates.

Note: Television listings published in newspapers were based on information provided by stations and were subject to change at the last minute. They may not be an accurate representation of what actually aired.
Since the New York-to-Washington coaxial cable had been in place for about a year, I suspect that the 1947 National Spelling Bee was held in/near Washington, D.C. (as it still is).
