Nielsen Top Ten, February 6th-19th, 1967

Although earlier this month I indicated that I would not be able to continue sharing the top ten Nielsen ratings from the 1966-1967 season, thanks to a generous reader who would like to remain anonymous I can now provide lists for the remainder of the season and they won’t be the combined two week NTI reports but the top ten for each week.

First up, the top ten programs for the week running Monday, February 6th through Sunday, February 12th, 1967. In second place was The Wizard of Oz, broadcast by CBS from 6-8PM on Sunday. Fifth was a National Geographic Special called “Alaska!” with Alexander Scourby as narrator that aired from 7:30-8:30PM on Tuesday, February 7th. ABC’s broadcast of The Sheepman as part of The ABC Sunday Night Movie on February 12th was eighth.

Next, the top ten programs for the week running Monday, February 13th through Sunday, February 19th, 1967. NBC’s broadcast of highlights from the Ice Capades ran from 8-9PM on Monday and tied for second for the week. A Bob Hope comedy special, with Tony Bennett, Jill St. John, Carol Lawrence and others, was aired on Wednesday, February 15th from 9-10PM and tied for seventh.
