DVD Tuesday: Here’s Lucy, The Untouchables, Wanted: Dead or Alive

Fans of Lucille Ball, rejoice. Today you can pick up Here’s Lucy: Season One from MPI, featuring all 24 episodes from the 1968-1969 season. This was Lucy’s third sitcom (after I Love Lucy and The Lucy Show) and would run for six seasons, ending in 1974. She starred as Lucy Carter, who worked for her brother-in-law (played by Gale Gordon) at Unique Employeement Agency. Playing her character’s children were Lucy’s actual children, Lucie and Desi. Season Two is slated to come out November 3rd. The only previous release for this series was a 24-episode “Best Loved Episodes” set from Shout! Factory.

Also out today is The Untouchables – Season Three, Vol. 1, with the first 16 episodes from the 1961-1962 season. Volume 2 comes out on November 10th. Mill Creek Entertainment is releasing <Wanted Dead or Alive: The Complete Series, with all 94 episodes on 11 discs at a suggested retail price of $29.98, and Wanted Dead or Alive: Season One. This is the third individual release for Season One; it was issued in 2005 by New Line Home Video in 2005 and then reissued later by BCI when that company also released the second and third seasons.

Finally, Alpha Video has four new public domain releases out today: The Adventures of Ozzie & Harriet, Volume 14, Man Behind The Badge, Volume 2, Mr. & Mrs. North, Volume 9 and Northwest Passage, Volume 3. Each single-disc release includes four episodes.
