WCBW Schedule, Week of August 17th, 1941

Here’s the schedule for WCBW, the CBS station in New York City, for the week starting Sunday, August 17th, 1941, straight from daily television listings printed in The New York Times. As usual, the station was off the air on Sunday and for the third week in a row was also off the air on Saturday.

The week was a normal one for the station, with one exception. Joan Edwards returned as WCBW’s resident singer on Tuesday, replacing Tamara.

The Monday variety show featured a pianist, tumblers, a singer, a comedian, dancers, and a toe dancer. On Tuesday, Bob Edge interviewed sports writer Caswell Adams and table tennis player Ruth Aarons.

Another National Defense show aired on Friday.
