“Here We Go Again” would have been on it’s 7th episode of 13 after a January premiere. It premiered at #64. It’s surprising they even gave it 13 episodes considering it’s performance.
It must be disheartening for a cast and crew of a series that is continuously getting such bad ratings that they know their days of working on their show are numbered. I guess they have to just be professional and say to themselves that they are getting paid and will continue to work on the show until they hear otherwise. “Here We Go Again” must have some sort of distinction for being the lowest rated show for so many weeks in a row.
Are the ratings that you cite weekly here available on the Internet anywhere? For instance I’d love to see where THE BRADY BUNCH ranked this week, but it was neither top 10 nor bottom 10. I’d love to know. Thanks!
the complete run of BROADCASTING MAGAZINE is in pdf form right on the internet== there isn’t a week omitted from the Nielsen charts since their inception so man years back.. ever so easy..pk…..(and worth pointing out how memories DO play tricks…..)
Thank you, Paul. I found a link to all Broadcasting Magazine back issues here: http://www.americanradiohistory.com/Broadcasting_Individual_Issues_Guide.htm
However, while I found interesting information in them, including lots of great vintage ads from tv stations and syndication groups, I didn’t find any weekly ratings in the issues that I checked, which includes a few in March 1973. Do you have a past issue that lists weekly ratings? Please let me know. Thanks!
I want him to do The Asphalt Jungle, only lasted 13 episodes, they tried at 1961-62 to follow Bus Stop, but according to the April 7, 1961 article of Broadcasting, Ben Casey was placed at Monday nights to follow Surfside 6, declaring Asphalt Jungle null and void.
jon– contact the curators of the MUSEUM OF BROADCASTING ,, both,,, IN NYC…. AND LOS ANGELES*,,,,( EVEN ucla.. HAS COMPLETE ARCHIVES FOR abc TELEVISION..)- ITS ALL THERE…pk
Surprised to see “60 Minutes” so low rated; usually a top ten show
It took 60 Minutes a long time to get good ratings; it didn’t reach the top 20 until its ninth season, 1976-77 (tie for #18), and moved into a three-way tie for #4 in 1977-78.
