Speaking of “popular” obscurities, AMC is currently offering all 17 episodes of cult classic The Prisoner for free on its website.
The cable channel is producing a new miniseries based on the The Prisoner that will air later this year.
The Prisoner, starring Patrick McGoohan, is widely considered one of the most enigmatic television shows of all time. It was broadcast by CBS in the United States in 1968 (it originally aired on ITV in the United Kingdom from 1967 to 1968).
Is there any way to watch these episodes without installing “flash player?”
I could view until yesterday when :flash” was suddenly required.?
I haven’t actually tried watching any of the episodes but after taking a look at the AMC website it looks like the episodes are streaming in Adobe Flash Player 10. Perhaps AMC updated or changed the way they are presenting the episodes in the last few days and that is why you can no longer watch them?
If you are having problems, you should e-mail AMC directly:

How “dangerous” (virus, etc.) would it be to install flash player 10? I’m a novice on computers.
I have been using Flash for years and have never had a problem. I would say Adobe is a very trusted source but if you are concerned you can try a web search to see if there are any reported issues.
