The Month in Home Media highlights short-lived or rare TV shows released on DVD or Blu-ray in the United States during the previous month.
July was another quiet month. Warner Archive released forgotten sitcom The Practice (NBC, 1976-1977) on DVD for the first time.
Also, I missed the release of The Brady Bunch: 50th Anniversary TV & Movie Collection in June. The 30-disc set includes both The Brady Brides (NBC, 1981) and The Bradys (CBS, 1990).

Highlight of the Month – The Practice: The Complete Series
Danny Thomas starred in this NBC sitcom that ran for two short seasons between January 1976 and January 1977. Thomas played Dr. Jules Bedford, a doctor who cares deeply about his patients, even when they can’t pay. His son David (played by David Spielberg) is also a doctor, but David focuses more on money than patients. Dena Dietrich played Molly, Jules’s nurse, with Shelley Fabares as Jenny, David’s wife and Jules’ daughter-in-law.
Support Television Obscurities by purchasing The Practice: The Complete Series from Amazon. You can also purchase the set directly from Warner Archive through the WB Shop website.
