UCLA Film & Television Archive to Stream Episodes of Mister Peepers on September 30

The UCLA Film & Television Archive, as part of its Virtual Screening Room initiative, will stream two episodes of NBC sitcom Mister Peepers on Wednesday, September 30th at 7PM ET/4PM PT. The virtual screening is free but requires an RSVP.

Mister Peepers ran on NBC from 1952 to 1955. Wally Cox starred as the title character, a junior high science teacher. The cast also included Tony Randall, Georgann Johnson, Pat Benoit, Marion Lorne, and Jack Warden.

The screening will include the following episodes: “Teaching by TV” from 1954 and “The Wally Cox Show” from 1955. Neither of these episodes are available on DVD.

Peter Marshall, host of The Hollywood Squares, will join UCLA archivist Mark Quigley after the screening to talk about Wally Cox, who was a regular on The Hollywood Squares from 1966 until his death in 1973.

If you’re interested in the screening, be sure to RSVP.
