New Exhibit: The Hartford Courant TV Week Covers, 2000-2001

The latest Television Obscurities exhibit is now available for all to enjoy. The Hartford Courant TV Week Covers, 2000-2001 includes 31 scanned covers from Connecticut newspaper The Hartford Courant‘s weekly TV Week supplement published during the 2000-2001 TV season.

Here’s the first cover, from the October 1-7, 2000 issue:

The covers showcase a wide range of programming: network sitcoms, dramas, movies, and specials; TV shows and specials on basic and premium cable channels; public television documentaries; and even a documentary series on C-SPAN. A handful of issues have short-lived TV shows on the cover: Gideon’s Crossing (NBC), FreakyLinks (FOX), and What About Joan (ABC).

  1. I do remember the Courant’s TV WEEK. I also remember back in the day there was a Hartford Times supplement called TV TOPICS, later retitled TV TIMES. The Times included it in their Saturday paper as it was a Monday through Saturday afternoon publication. FWIW, the Hartford Times went out of business in 1976.

    1. The Hartford Times went out of business long before I was born but I think I have at least one copy of its TV Times supplement somewhere.

  2. chuck it….this writer only cares that ihs dish carries hartford tv range/ stuff like public tv Connecticut,****, and when the leaves fall from our autumn trees..I can see reruns of my favoritte martian////take a hint
