The 2013-2014 television season officially kicks off tonight. More than 35 new shows will be premiering over the next few weeks. That means by the end of the month we may see the first cancellation — and first new obscurity — of the season. Last season, CBS cancelled Made in Jersey after just two episodes had aired.
During the 2011-2012 season, NBC’s The Playboy Club was the first to be pulled, after three episodes were broadcast. During the 2010-2011 season the first cancellation was FOX’s Lonestar after just two episodes aired. And during the 2009-2010 season The Beautiful Life: TBL on The CW was the first cancellation, also after only two episodes.
So what will be the first cancellation and first new obscurity this season? Will it be Dads on FOX? Lucky 7 on ABC? Dracula on NBC? Or will this finally be the season when the networks decide to stop cancelling shows after only a few weeks?

I predict the first cancellation will be ‘Lucky 7’ on ABC.
If we are lucky, “WE ARE MEN” will be the first to go, putting it out of our misery.
“THE GOLDBERGS” and “TROPHY WIFE”.
Dads
SUPER FUN NIGHT
I’m changing my guess to IRONSIDE.
We have a winner–Lucky 7 was just cancelled by ABC after two episodes.
CONGRATULATIONS, ‘DuMONT’!!!!!!!
Mom’s should go next
Sorry, Chuck. “WE ARE MEN” was just pulled off CBS after two episodes.
Dads….Moms….Sean to the Rescue (or whatever it is….)
They overact on Ironside, but it can stay a while….lol
Kudos for pulling the plug on We Are Men and Lucky 7 (guess it wasn’t that lucky after all…. hee hee)
NBC has pulled Welcome to the Family and Ironside (which will air one additional episode next week). That brings the number of cancellations to four.
Makes you wonder just HOW long “MOCKINGBIRD LANE” would have lasted, had NBC decided to turn it into a weekly series……they certainly are having bad luck with “rebooting” their classic TV series. I hope nobody at the network is THAT naive to try to revive “THE JACK BENNY PROGRAM”!!!!
That is very funny!
