Here’s the schedule for WNBT (NBC’s flagship TV station in New York City) for the week starting Sunday, March 23rd, 1947. The New York Times published daily listings for television stations in the city, including WNBT, alongside its comprehensive radio listings.
WNBT’s Sunday lineup returned to normal this week. On Sunday, March 23rd the station Tele-varities, a film short, and an installment of NBC Television Theater (“Little Brown Jug”). The previous week, In Town Today and Bible Stories followed NBC Television Theater.
Likewise, after St. Patrick’s Day disrupted WNBT’s lineup the previous, things returned to normal this week. On Monday, March 24th, the 1943 Buster Crabbe movie Fugitive of the Plains aired at 8PM, followed by Television Reporter, and boxing from St. Nicholas Arena.
No programs were scheduled for Tuesday, March 25th or Wednesday, March 26th.
A second episode of Show Business Incorporated aired on Thursday, March 27th. Among the guests were John Carradine and Helen Parrish; Parrish previously hosted variety show Hour Glass.
On Saturday, March 29th, WNBT aired the 1940 movie The Swiss Family Robinson starring Thomas Mitchell and Edna Best.
