Nielsen Bottom 10, December 18th-24th, 1972

Week 15 of the 1972-1973 season started on Monday, December 18th, 1972 and ended on Sunday, December 24th, 1972. The highest-rated program was All in the Family on CBS with a 28.9 Nielsen rating.

Unfortunately, I don’t have access to the complete Nielsen chart for this week, so I can’t share the 10 lowest-rated programs. But I don’t want to skip ahead to the following week and get off schedule. Feel free to speculate as to which programs landed in the Bottom 10.

If anyone can provide me with the full Nielsen chart for the week of December 18-24, 1972 (or just the Bottom 10), I will be very grateful. Please contact me if you can help.

  1. I remember watching the Dec 24th episode of Night Gallery. It had Leonard Nimoy in it as man who got a cat after his wife died. The cat may or may not have the ability to change into a tiger. It was implied that Leonard Nimoys character murdered his wife and the cat/tiger knew it. Definitely not your regular holiday programming. Since Night Gallery is usually at the bottom of the ratings this episode was probably one of the bottom ten shows. Also it was Christmas Eve and people were doing other things.
