Last season, perhaps for the first time since the early 1960s, there were no fall preview specials on any of the broadcast networks. Happily, that isn’t the case this season. Both CBS and FOX have produced a traditional fall preview specials for the 2024-2025 network TV season. I will update this post if I learn about any specials for CBS, NBC, or The CW.
CBS – “CBS Fall First Look”
This half-hour network special aired Thursday, September 19th, 2024 from 9:30-10PM ET. Like most of the network’s recent fall preview specials, “CBS Fall First Look” features a slew of CBS stars from new and returning shows. Among those featured are Kathy Bates, Carrie Preston, Montana Jordan, Emily Osment, Kyle Schmid, Gary Cole, Damon Wayons, Damon Wayans Jr., Max Greenfield, Cedric the Entertainer, Jeff Probst, Manu Bennett, Max Thieriot, and Kevin Alejandro. You can watch the special at CBS.com as well as Paramount+ and a variety of other streaming services and cable companies. FOX – “The 2024 FOX Fall Preview”
Hosted by Joel McHale and Ken Jeong, this half-hour special started airing on affiliated stations in late August. It airs nationally on FOX on Tuesday, September 24th from 9:30-10PM ET. The full special is available on YouTube.

correctt me if I am wrong.. The whole concept of premiere is a dated one that peeked in the 1970s/// The three primary networks haven’t had influences since the mass distribution of CABLE worldwide,,,,..now who is living in the past?????? the thoughts of gathering an arbitrary time period to coincide with yet another arbitrary time season//// that of public education .//// is….yet another anachronism ,, Now who has expressed notions of whistling up a tree,,,,,? and right here in this FORUM????,none other than this writer!, ironically.. premieres of streaming series come thru on so many channels,, Its a physical impossibility to keep up== That’s why personally I rely on punctual response/ reviews from friends who know what the hell they are seeing…IT WOULD OTHERWISE BE IMPOSSIBLE to keep up…
