NBC’s Earth 2 premiered 20 years ago tonight. I was a huge fan of the show as a kid. Its cancellation after just one season had powerful impact on my life and played a role in the creation of Television Obscurities.
The Super Globetrotters (NBC, 1979) and The Good Guys (FOX, 2010) were released on DVD in October, as well as more episodes of The Tonight Show Starring Johnny Carson.
On November 9th, the UCLA Film & Television Archive is offering a free screening of the 1954 special “Light’s Diamond Jubilee” celebrating the 75th anniversary of the light bulb.
