Me-TV Viewership Fell During October

An average of 458,000 viewers watched Me-TV in prime time during October, down slightly from the 500,000 who were watching the classic television digital specialty network during September. Still, it was the second most-watched month by far since ratings for Me-TV were first released in April of this year.

Me-TV averaged 350,000 households and 96,000 viewers in the adults 18-49 demographic during the month.

The week ending November 3rd was the most-watched, with 480,000 viewers. That put Me-TV ahead of MundoFox, Azteca America, Bounce TV and Estrella TV. That same week, CBS averaged 10.5 million viewers, ION Television 1.2 million viewers and UniMas (formerly Telefutura) 600,000 viewers. The week ending October 13th was the least-watched, with 450,000 viewers.

With ratings these low (Me-TV averaged a 0.3 rating and a 0.4 share during October), I wonder how much of an impact a single television household makes. Could one person deciding not to watch Me-TV be responsible for the drop?

Howdy! It is a shame though that We can not have that station here in Canada, I went to see Their website and I like every shows They are playing now. I will not get my hope to high though, They will consider coming to Canada, with the struggles of Their ratings, but sometimes TV or radio stations can have downed months like that, it depends on many intangibles and circumstances. Ratings are good, but We have to be careful about those at the same time. Have a Spiffy one. Stay safe.

The Neilsen Television Index (NTI) has roughly one person in their sample per 20,000 P2+ viewers, weighted to get the right demo balances across the country, rural-suburban-urban, male-female, all ages 2+, all income levels, and a few other socio-economic variables of interest to advertisers.

So when you look at ME-TV so far this season, their averages of 0.3HH/1%, 100,000 A18-49s, 463,000 P2+s translated down to the sample homes would be, on average, roughly 5 in-demo adults (out of 12,500) and 23 viewers aged 2+ (out of 12,500) are watching ME-TV during primetime.

If you compare ME-TV averages to cabler averages, in P2+, ME-TV is averaging roughly the same primetime viewer level as niche channels such as CMT, E!, NGC, Oxygen, Travel and WGNA. Not bad for classic, encore programming.

I hope these ratings do not spell trouble for Me-TV. It is one of my favorite networks, and I would not want to see it going away. However, compared to one of the Big 3 (CBS), which averaged 10.5 million viewers during the same period, the numbers look quite good.
