Solarquest, a board game said to be somewhat similar to Monopoly only set in space, was originally released in 1985. It’s tag line was “the space-age real estate game.” You can read more about it at BoardGameGeek but the commercial, from October 1987, does a fairly good job explaining the basic principles of the game.
