Barbara Bain, who plays the tutor in this episode, and Irene Wasell (the teacher) instruct deaf children in real life. June Reed and the other children they teach in this story are actually deaf.

SLATTERY’S PEOPLE–Drama (CBS)
“Question–What Became of the White Tortilla?” Freshman legislator Thomas Rodriguez shows great promise as a spokesman for his people, but he’ll have to learn to control his persecution complex.
