It took longer than anticipated to crunch the numbers but I’ve compiled a list of the most popular articles, spotlights, and blog posts at Television Obscurities during 2017. Despite my best efforts, traffic to the site did not increase noticeably last year. However, more than 1,200 comments were left in 2017, a jump from roughly 980 in 2016.

  1. I’m sorry if you are disappointed that traffic on your website is not significantly increasing, but I suspect that reading about old or short-lived television shows is a rather “obscure” interest.

I have a “mild” but ongoing interest in late 1940s and early 1950s television, especially the Dumont network, and on occasion I spend time on dumontnetwork.com. I suspect I learned of your site when I was seeking Dumont information, and I keep coming back to see if there is something about early TV, or else about a later show that I’d forgotten, but used to enjoy.

Unfortunately I don’t recommend your site to others because I’ve never had a conversation that suggested my friends are interested in the subject matter you cover. Best wishes on increasing your audience.
